CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS
The Corpus Christi Metropolitan area is the major economic center of the South Texas Coastal Bend region. The Corpus Christi planning area includes Nueces and San Patricio Counties including urbanized area of the cities of Corpus Christi, Portland and Gregory.  The Corpus Christi urbanized area boasts extensive employment in the industrial, retail, and service sectors.  Corpus Christi International Airport and the Port of Corpus Christi play key roles in regional commerce and transportation.  Major health care facilities, educational institutions and tourist attractions are within the Corpus Christi urbanized area serve the needs of local and regional citizens and tourists worldwide.
