Every FIRST Thursday of the month at 1:30 p.m. at City of Corpus Christi City Hall, Council Chambers, 1st Floor, 1201 Leopard Street, Corpus Christi, Texas. Please contact the MPO office at (361) 884-0687 for information regarding scheduled meetings.

The Corpus Christi MPO will post meeting agendas at the following public locations throughout the metropolitan area four days prior scheduled meeting date.

Responsibilities

The Transportation Policy Committee is the decision making body. It approves and adopts all the transportation planning activities of the Metropolitan Planning Organization.

Technical support to this committee is provided by the Technical Advisory Committee consisting of one member each from listed political jurisdictions or agencies below.

Staff support to the Policy Committee is provided by full-time MPO staff. Staff from the United States Department of Transportation and the Texas Department of Transportation also provides technical assistance and guidance.

Planning the development of an efficient, effective transportation system must be a top priority in order to maintain the region’s quality of life and economic vitality.  Many of the policies, programs, and projects included in the region’s Metropolitan Transportation Plan and this TMMP report address very specific quality-of-life issues concerning the promotion of economic development, increasing transportation accessibility, while at the same time reducing environmental and community impacts.
