Population and Employment Maps:
The MPO provided the Texas Department of Transportation, Transportation Planning and Programming Division, the employment and population data for the base year 2005, forecasted year 2035, and the existing transportation network to validate and calibrate the travel demand model for the two-county area (Nueces and San Patricio Counties). The model is calibrated through an iterative process where the data is adjusted until assigned traffic volumes match counted volumes.

Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan Map:
This map is a result of a study to provide the region with a plan for creating an environment where people could choose to bicycle or walk to their destinations and provide recreational opportunities for walking and bicycling to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle. The Plan would provide guidance for the development and implementation of an interconnected network of designated on-street bicycle facilities as well as off-roadway trails and sidewalks.
